ONECCM, Staff Focus Group

On February 10th, we gathered with the staff of the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) as we continue our journey of creating ONECCM: The Path Forward. With over 20 staff members, we discussed Passions, Values, Visions and Strategic Priorities for the College.

We began the session by asking the staff to tell stories about their passions for CCM and how they came to be at CCM. In one staff member’s passion story, she shared how amazed and inspired she is by the students, seeing what the students go through to apply and finally be accepted to CCM. Even more inspiring for the staff is seeing what the students become while they are at CCM: pre-eminent musicians, artists, vocalists, dancers and professionals. The dedicated staff of CCM believes in the mission of the school and can see the product of their work as audience members at recitals and performances.

After this deep dive into why they are committed to CCM, the staff wrote their vision statements for the future of CCM. Some ambitious groups even wrote mission statements, too! Next, they discussed the top priorities for how to bring the college to the next level. Throughout each activity, the staff members were incredibly engaged and innovative. They are truly passionate about CCM and showed that they are once again ready to roll up their sleeves to do the work necessary to create ONECCM.
