ONECCM, Faculty Focus Group

On February 27th, we gathered with the world renowned Faculty of the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) as the next step of ONECCM: The Path Forward. With 38 Faculty members in attendance, making this our largest focus group with CCM to date, we discussed Passions, Visions, and Strategic Priorities for the college.

We began the session by sharing the results of the strengths and passion questions, the short video from the students and invited the faculty members to read direct quotes of their passions for CCM. When they finished there was an awe-inspiring feeling in the room of being surrounded by overwhelming talent and passion but also respect. Every table agreed the dedicated students were among the top reasons the faculty are so dedicated to CCM.

Next they drafted vision statements for the college and strategic priorities for ONECCM. They were appreciative of the time they were able to spend with their fellow faculty members, and for the opportunity to understand what each other is doing. Throughout the session, the faculty showed they are ready to work collaboratively to bring the college to the next level.
