About Kate
Kate McCracken (she/they) is a wise and soulful leader who lives and works according to the belief that “we do better when we feel better.” As a coach, consultant, and community building change facilitator Kate’s gifts cultivate the collective leadership consciousness needed to actualize the future that wants to emerge. Her 20+ years of leadership and organizational development experience in the public and private sector helps uncover and remove the barriers between aspirational visions, the movements in pursuit of them, and our collective success.
Kate holds a degree in Art and Human Services from California State University Fullerton and has built a career by being their own laboratory; meaning she’s learned by living and experimenting in life and work. Kate’s work has served and strengthened organizations like The New York Times, ACLU, YMCA, Purdue, SXSW, and Mental Health America She has designed and facilitated over 15,000 hours of trainings, workshops, and team engagements. She has experience in the arts administration, community development, education, finance, healthcare, hospitality, law, media and entertainment, retail, and technology industries. Kate is certified in Cultural Intelligence, iEQ9 Integrative Enneagram, and Andiron’s Polarities. She has extensive training and experience in practices including the Art of Hosting, The Circle Way, Restorative Practices, Non-Violent Communication, Somatic Leadership, and the Franklin Covey personal and team effectiveness methods.
Kate has the right words at the right moment and holds a loving, but firm mirror up to show her clients the excellence that already exists within them. Her approach is steadfast gentleness that somehow moves mountains in minutes.
Kate is a creative at heart, happiest with a hunk of clay in her hands or writing stories about life and living. She is joyfully married to another artist and is devoted to healing the world by healing herself. She is currently learning to be the parent of a young adult away at college and is grateful she still has a dog at home to boss around.
